John G. Shedd Aquarium: The Shedd features 32,000 aquatic animals – including, right now, the “Amphibians exhibit. With CityPASS, your VIP entry includes admission not just to the aquarium galleries, but special areas like the Abbott Oceanarium, where otters and dolphins play; Wild Reef, where sharks swim; and Polar Play Zone, where the penguins reside. Your ticket also gets you into the marine mammal presentation, a 4-D movie, and Stingray Touch (in summer only).
Skydeck Chicago Fast Pass: The line at Skydeck Chicago can be two hours long, so being able to skip it is a big relief. See the skyline from the top of the former Sears Tower, one of the world’s tallest buildings. And step out onto The Ledge’s 103rd floor glass balconies, if you dare! Even if you skip The Ledge, though, you can enjoy interactive exhibits and a gorgeous view that spans 360 degrees.
The Field Museum of Natural History: Many of the world’s wonders can be viewed here, including the world’s most complete T. Rex skeleton. Enter an Egyptian tomb, explore millions of years of history, and learn without even trying. You’ll even get to choose from several available 3-D movies! Your CityPASS won’t get you into the special exhibits “Jurassic World: The Exhibition” or “Specimens: Unlocking the Secrets of Life,” which run through the end of the year, but you can get a discounted add-on rate.
The Museum of Science and Industry: From the science of storms to the workings of your own body, you can explore the world here. CityPASS entry allows you a special timed-entry experience – for example, visit a coal mine, walk onto a U-505 submarine, or visit the special exhibit “Robot Revolution.”
360 Chicago: On the 94th floor of the John Hancock tower, you can view four states, Lake Michigan, and downtown. Your VIP entry from CityPASS allows you express entry. TILT is extra.
Adler Planetarium: Discover the universe with 60,000 sq. ft. of exhibitions that focus on space, our exploration of space, and much more. Your VIP access pass includes all shows, exhibitions, and experiences, from the historic Atwood Sphere to the always-amazing sky shows.
The Art Institute of Chicago: You might want to allow more than one day to check out the exhibitions at one of the city’s most exciting places. Even without any special exhibitions available through your CityPASS, you’ll travel the globe through galleries that feature art through the ages. Some of the world’s classics are housed here, and the Impressionist collection is stunning.
