At MB Financial Park at Rosemont, the NYE 2018 party starts at 8 p.m. and goes until close. Party favors, a champagne toast and midnight, and giveaways take place. The NYE Exposed celebration at this Chicago brewery features models getting their bodies painted, an open bar, a hookah lounge, karaoke, beer and craft drinks, a VIP buffet dinner in the taproom, a cash food truck, a photo booth, fun party favors, a champagne toast, and more. General admission and VIP dinner tickets are available starting at $40 for Early Bird prices; this is a 21+ event.
New Year’s Eve dinner at the Streeterville, Fulton Market, or River North locations features special cocktails like the Midnight Flight and the Spiced Apple Smash. Lettuce Entertain You’s classy venue with live entertainment will be open till 1 a.m. on New Year’s Day with an a la carte menu that includes Japanese snapper ceviche, lobster cappuccino, roast chicken frites, sliced dry-aged NY sirloin, and more. The cocktail menu and Champagne selection are extensive, and desserts divine! Live music begins at 9:30 p.m. Reservations are recommended.
Come to Rosemont or Chicago for NYE. At Rosemont, have brunch from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. with Bloody Marys and Southern dishes. Or come for dinner specials such as smoked prime rib, seafood boil, and BBQ ribs. The Suburban Cowboys play, and there’s no cover before 10 p.m. Champagne toast takes place at midnight. In Chicago, brunch is from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., featuring Southern favorites. Starting at 9 p.m., BBQ dishes and drinks are available during a live performance by Fletcher Rockwell. NYE tickets start at $65.
Buca di Beppo
Every year, this family-style Italian restaurant stays open all day on Christmas, so you can enjoy Italian dishes and Christmas specials. Make a reservation in advance, though!
The seafood spot in Chicago and Naperville offers an NYE 2018 menu available 12/29-12/31 that includes lobster bisque ($6), broiled red king crab appetizer ($37), grand shellfish platter for 4-6 people ($85), seafood skillet Newburg ($42), crab-stuffed Maine lobster tail ($49), beef shortrib and diver scallop ($45), and steamed whole Maine lobster ($85). For dessert, try a salted caramel lava cake ($7).
This Italian restaurant offers a four-course dinner for two at $129 on NYE, with live music from the 290 East Band. You can upgrade to the Surf & Turf for $17.95 per person, and get a room deal at the Marriott Suites, too.
Chicago Prime Steakhouse
Avante’ Banquets at Chicago Prime is now open, and offering a New Year’s Eve Extravaganza that includes a steak and lobster dinner, 4.5 hour open bar, sweets table, live DJ, party favors, and a midnight champagne toast for $150 (tax and gratuity are included). You can also book a hotel room at the Hampton Inn & Suites Deer Park for $129 per night; includes breakfast and shuttle service to Avante’.
The Comedy Bar (Gino’s East)
Want some entertainment? Get yourself to River North! The Comedy Bar’s NYE Showcase takes place at 7:30 p.m., with general admission prices at $20 and VIP admission with priority seating for $30. Get a VIP Group Booth for 10 people and a bottle of champagne for $299. At 10:30 p.m., the Big Sexy NYE Show 2018 takes place, with general admission at $35, VIP admission at $45, and the VIP booth for $399.
e+o Food and Drink
Over in Mt. Prospect, you can celebrate NYE 2018 from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. with a party that includes DJs, a champagne toast at midnight, an NYE buffet, premium bar package, cheesecake bar, and a late night pizza bar. Cost is $50 for the premium bar package only, $50 for the buffet and toast only, and $100 all inclusive.
The Italian market is closed on Christmas Day, but you can dine here at any of the restaurants on Christmas Eve until the last seating begins at 8 p.m. They’ll feature holiday specials and take reservations, so you should make them as soon as possible!
Chef Emilio Gervilla’s restaurants in Hillside and downtown east of Michigan Avenue on Ohio St. will be open for Christmas Eve dining, but will be closed on Christmas Day.
They’ll also be open for NYE 2018, complete with the traditional Spanish eating of 12 grapes at midnight. The downtown location, Sol y Nieve, is also open regular hours on January 1. Tapas, because they’re shared, are really great ways to enjoy any holiday!
Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse locations in Chicago, Rosemont, and Lombard will be open at Christmas and New Year’s Eve with special menus and holiday decorations! Christmas Specials include roasted butternut squash and apple bisque soup ($4.95, $6.95), scallops and short rib risotto ($32.95), herb and horseradish crusted prime rib ($38.95), and Bailey’s Chocolate Mousse ($7.95). At Holy Mackerel! in Lombard, the soup is the same. Entree specials include Lobsta Oscar ($42.95) and seared duck breast ($27.95), with a caramelized pear tart for dessert ($7.95).
For NYE, there’s a prix-fixe meal available; prime rib for $47.95 or Surf and Turf for $72.95. Starters include shrimp bisque or Dutchie’s salad. Choose from three sides – roasted garlic mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, or grilled asparagus with Hollandaise. Dessert is a salted caramel chocolate tart.
The Light Up the Night New Year’s Eve Gala, an annual party featuring three different packages, takes place 12/31 starting at 5 p.m, with packages beginning at $289 per couple for the party, a three-hour open bar, dancing and champagne, and overnight accommodations. Upgrade to an all-inclusive package for $399, including a five-course dinner, five-hour open bar, a martini bar, and accommodations. The all-inclusive club level package for $499 includes the dinner and party, champagne and hors d’oeuvres from 5-7 p.m., accommodations on the club level, and breakfast.
Rosemont’s Hofbrauhaus will be open on Christmas Day with a special “Weihnachten” menu. Dishes include Gefligelcremesuppe, a creamy chicken soup with vegeatables, croutons, and chives; Bayrische Kartoffelsuppe, a creamy Bavarian potato soup with veggies, sausage, and croutons; Gebackener Tortenbrie, a breaded cheese lightly fried and served with a winter salad bouquet, balsamic dressing, and cranberry sauce; HB Rib Eye und Pfeffersteak, steak with sauerkraut and pan-fried potatoes with bacon and onions; and Frische Knusprige Schweinshaxen, a crispy pork shank with Bavarian cabbage and bacon salad, potato and bread dumplings, made with HB lager bier gravy. Dessert is creme brulee. Gluhwein will also be available. The holiday beer is Dopplebock, a malty brew with very little bitterness.
For NYE, families can come in 12/31 starting at 2 p.m. for a kid-friendly Munich-style celebration with face painting, magic, live animals, and a parade and toast at 5 p.m. At midnight, the adults can “prost” to 2018 with a glass of champagne and enjoy fireworks.
The New Year’s Eve bash includes passed hors d’oeuvres with Hub 51 and DJ MattBoyWhite. A premium bar package is available, including a champagne toast at midnight. Make reservations.

Come to Rosemont for a legendary New Year’s Eve that features a Southern BBQ dinner buffet, drinks, and a late-night breakfast. Sixteen Candles will perform, and there will be a confetti blast and midnight. NYE tickets are good for $10 off brunch at Bub City the next day.
KINGS Dining & Entertainment
Ring in 2018 with Willy Wonka-themed celebrations in its Lincoln Park and Rosemont locations. The party includes a live DJ, dancing, party favors, giveaways, and creative cocktails and food. These specials will be available from Friday, 12/29-Monday, 1/1. Drinks include the “Violet, you’re turning Violet!” with vodka, coconut rum, energy drinks, cranberry juice, and Blue Curacao; the “Chocolate River” with vodka, Kahlua, Godiva chocolate liquer and sweet cream; the “Oompa Loompa” with tequila, lime juice, strawberry, and mango puree; and the “Golden Ticket,” with vodka, white grape juice, peach and mango puree, and a bottle of Prosecco. Food specials include bruschetta, mini crab cakes, lobster pizza, beef madeira, shrimp scampi, Land & Sea, and a cannoli trio. The River North location hosts a New Year’s Party with a concert ticket giveaway (any Chicago show of your choice in 2018). Beer, cocktails, appetizers, live DJs, arcade games, party favories, a balloon drop, midnight toast, and a food buffet are available. Cost is $60 and up per person.
On NYE at the Namco restaurant in Schaumburg, enjoy a daytime package for $30 per person, with two hours of bowling, a two-hour game card, apps, and drinks from 11 a.m.-6:45 p.m. The Evening package costs $35 per person. The Midnight Package is for 21+ only, and also includes a champagne toast for $35 per person. DJ starts spinning at 9 p.m.
McCormick & Schmick’s
This steak and seafood restaurant is open Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day, so you can make reservations and enjoy specials on either holiday at any of the chain’s locations.
Mon Ami Gabi
Ring in 2018 with French fare, wine, and fun! A champagne toast takes place at midnight. The full menu will be available; brunch is not served on 12/31. Restaurant closes at midnight; reservations are recommended.
Mrs. Murphy & Sons Irish Bistro
On NYE this Irish bistro will offer a four-course tasting menu for $50 that includes smoked trout panzanela salad, King crab cake, braised beef shortribes, Irish cream creme brulee, petit fours, a complimentary champagne toast, and beer and wine pairings to accompany. An a la carte menu will also be available. A family toast to ring in the Irish new year takes place at 6 p.m. Live jazz takes place from 7 p.m.-midnight, and a complimentary toast takes place at midnight.
Want to dance your way into 2018? Come to Nacional 27, where dinner packages begin at 5 p.m. (five courses and a champagne toast for $49.99), 7 p.m. (five courses, champagne toast, and Brugal N27 Mojito for $99.99), and 9:30 p.m. for five courses, a bottle of Moet, and a table for a full evening of dancing at $400 per couple). A balloon drop takes place at midnight, and a DJ spins till 2 a.m.
Osteria Via Stato
The Italian restaurant downtown is open until midnight. You can get a prix-fixe meal for $75 per person before 7 p.m., or dine from the regular menu. After 7, a multi-course Italian dinner and Prosecco toast costs $95 per person.
RPM Italian and RPM Steak
Holiday specials include lobster and truffles at RPM Italian, and steakhouse favorites at RPM steak. A champagne toast at midnight also takes place. Make reservations today!

Red Arrow Tap Room
The Pour Your Own New Year’s Event 2017 takes place in Elmhurst with live jazz from the Bill Riddle Trio. Appetizer and beverage package costs $45, dinner and beverage package is $65, just dinner is $35, and the kids package is $15.
Ring in the New Year with a five-course menu in the Grand Salon starting at 8 p.m. Cost is $69.95 per person (not including tax and gratuity). Includes DJ, dancing, champagne toast, and more. The first course is an antipasti platter and salumi and cheese. For your second course, choose from lobster bisque, wild mushroom risotto, or shrimp cocktail. The main course is your choice of a center cut filet, grilled berkshire pork chop, or 1 lb. Alaskan king crab legs (add $20). For dessert, pick either New Year’s chocolate cake, creme brulee, or sticky date cake.
Shaw’s Crab House
The NYE buffet at Shaw’s Crab house is a wonderful thing. At the Chicago location, you’ll enjoy seafood dishes and classic breakfast items for $59 for adults ($10 for kids 7-12), which includes a $25 gift certificate to use toward lunch in 2018. At the Schaumburg location, brunch includes a complimentary mimosa or sparkling wine, and costs $45 for adults ($10 for kids). The bar is open until midnight, and includes a complimentary toast to ring in the new year.
Stella Barra Pizzeria
This spot will feature a NYE brunch buffet with $5 Bloody Marys, mimosas, and bellinis. Later on in the day, the Spicy Salami & Burrata and Butternut Squash with candied bacon pizzas will be available. The pizzeria is open till midnight.

Enjoy a four-course countdown with the $75 prix-fixe meal at either the Chicago or Naperville locations of Sullivan’s steakhouse. Your choices of starters include cheesesteak egg rolls, lump crab cake, jumbo shrimp cocktail, truffle steak tartare, or a seafood sampler (add $18). For your soup or salad, pick shrimp and lobster bisque, market fresh greens, iceberg lettuce wedge, or Caesar salad. For your entree, pick filet mignon, ribeye, NY strip, roasted balsamic chicken, or simply prepared fish with citrus basil butter. You can upgrade for $20 to a bone-in filet, a Wagyu bone-in strip, dry-aged long-bone ribeye, or a long-bone Berkshire pork chop. You can also enhance your steak to make it Oscar style for $11, add Alaskan king crab legs for $20, add seared Hudson Valley foie gras for $16, or add a lobster tail for $20.
