May 10th celebrates 10 years of Beer Under Glass held at the Garfield Park Conservatory.
Unfortunately, BUG is sold out but I’ve seen people looking for tickets on the Facebook page, so maybe you can find one.
It’s also the kick off event for Illinois Craft Beer Week #ICBW, the week long celebration from May 10 – May 17th includes from Chicago to the southern tip of Illinois.
I counted 50+ events on the Illinoisbeer.org site ranging from the 6th Annual North Peoria Craft Brewfest to the Artisan Cheese + Craft Beer Pairing + Brewery Tour at Forbidden Root in Chicago. Shoreline Sightseeing even has a Craft Beer Cruise on Friday May 17th with craft brewers, a DJ and light appetizers.
With so many illinois Craft Brewers in the state, just check with your local brewery to see what events are available.
Proceeds from Beer Under Glass support GPCA’s mission to change lives through the power of nature and connect people to plants, and the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild’s mission to support the development and expansion of the craft beer industry in Illinois through education, advocacy, and promotion.
