Tighthead Brewing Company was founded by Owner/Brewer Bruce Dir and began production in the fall of 2011. The production brewery and tap room are located adjacent to the Metra train station in Mundelein, Illinois and produce quality ales and lagers for all seasons. Our Beers are currently distributed in draft and 16 oz cans throughout Illinois and Wisconsin. Our Tap Room typically features up to 16 beers on tap, and customers can bring food or order food to be delivered to the Tap Room.
Cidery and tasting room opened in December 2016.
Bosacki’s Home Brew is a small microbrewery and tavern/tasting room providing 12 different beers (at the time of this writing) ranging from Cranberry Wheat Lager to Weisenbock. With almost 100 5/5 star reviews from both Yelp and Facebook, these are high quality handcrafted beers brewed by the passionate and friendly Greg Bosacki.
Located in downtown Mundelein, Bosacki’s is open from Wednesday through Sunday and all beers are available to take home in growlers.

In business since 2011, Bruce White, a former corporate attorney decided to leave his law profession. He found more fulfillment helping people enjoy beer and Chicago’s wealth of breweries. Tours include Bacon & Brewing Beer Tour in Lakeview & Lincoln Park,. Sin & Suds Beer Tour in The Loop & South Loop, and Pioneers & Pints Beer Tour in Bucktown & Wicker Park. Private tours are also available.
