Here in the Chicago area, we love fall. Along with the football games, crisp air, falling leaves, and Oktoberfest celebrations, this is the season to celebrate at The RAM Restaurant & Brewery, one of the original Illinois craft brewers. All three of the Chicago RAM locations are currently featuring their Oktoberfest Bier along with new menu items matched to the fall season. This malty, copper-hued lager with a crisp hop finish is inspired by the original festival in Munich where each year millions of people celebrate 16 days of culture, beer, and family fun.

In addition to the Oktoberfest Bier, The RAM always has on tap a variety of small batch seasonal selections to complement their six award winning flagship beers, proudly served in their 18 oz. signature glass or in a 10 oz. shorty glass.

When’s a good time to drink these beers? Well, all the time, naturally. But certainly Happy Hour is a great time to meet some friends and enjoy $3.75 specials every Monday – Friday from 3 – 6 pm. You can get any of The RAM’s Flagship Beers for $3.75 every weekday during Happy Hour, $3.75 six oz. pours of house wine by the glass, and $3.75 well drinks in addition to great appetizer features too!

When it comes to football and the Cubs in the World Series (!!!), The RAM has you covered with big screen TVs in each location. On Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays, when NFL games light up the screen, $5 game day drink specials are available from open to close. On top of that, you can get $1 off all of their 18 oz. beers, so this is a great time to try them. The RAM is also offering a deal the day after every Cubs victory – buy one burger, get the second one half price when you purchase two beverages.

To accompany these special beers and tasty cocktails, The RAM currently features a special Burgerama Menu, designed to take advantage of seasonal flavors. The menu includes some exciting and creative selections, including the Bacon Me Crazy Burger, the Buttface Amber Ale Chicken Sandwich, and the Bluesberry Burger (with roasted garlic onions, feta cheese, arugula, sour blueberry jam, and garlic Buttface Amber Ale aioli, all on a brioche bun). Along with these Burgerama specials, house favorites include Big Red’s BBQ Rib Platter, crunchy Fish & Chips, and the always-popular Mac & Cheese.

To go along with RAM Oktoberfest Bier, try The Veracruz, a burger with a Kaiser bun, chorizo beef-blend patty, charred tomatillo salsa verde, sour cream cilantro, black bean spread, smoked bacon ranch sauce, and Wisconsin jalapeno pepper jack cheese, all with a deep-fried chicken-and-cheese-stuffed jalapeno topper. Or, try the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich with country gravy for dipping. The limited time Burgerama Menu also includes a hot chicken Caesar salad and the Royal Hawaiian Ahi Poke salad (with fresh arcadia greens and jalapeno slices, matchstick carrots, soy wasabi vinaigrette, sriracha aioli drizzle, and fried wontons).

ramoctdessertNaturally, there’s dessert, in the form of a Blueberry Thyme Creme Brulee or German Chocolate Donut Holes. To drink, The RAM staff members suggest the new Aperol Spritzer, Prosecco & St. Germain Elderflower Cocktail, or the popular RAM Shandy with their own house Hefeweizen.

If you’re interested in award winning, fresh and local small batch beers – both traditional and trendy – along with comforting American eats, come on in! Each location features a dining experience centered around the flavors and ingredients found in its beers, and wait staff is educated to guide you in your selections to get the most out of your visit. The RAM Restaurant & Brewery is a second generation family and team member owned company with three locations in the Chicago area.
