Here’s a list of our favorite restaurants offering great Mother’s Day dining events on Sunday, May 13. Make your reservations in advance and enjoy!
Enjoy a traditional Mother’s Day brunch with authentic Italian flair at Carlucci Rosemont, where the offerings include seafood, carving stations, pastas, omelets to order, breakfast favorites, and a complimentary glass of champagne or a mimosa for mom. A magician will perform. Brunch takes place 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and dinner starts at 4:30 p.m. Cost for adults is $47.95, kids 5 and up are $17.99.
Chicago Chop House
Mother’s Day Brunch at the Chicago Chop House on Ontario Street downtown features a bacon Bloody Mary and a family brunch buffet with a prime rib carving station. Times start at 10 a.m.- reserve now!
The traditional Mother’s Day event at this Hillside restaurant will feature great specials to accompany the regular menu all day long. Moms receive a special gift. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m.-7:45 p.m.
The Great Escape
Come to this restaurant and banquet facility in Schiller Park for a Mother’s Day brunch that’s priced right and features entrees, breakfast items, side dishes, and sweets. Coffee and soft drinks are included. Cost is $26.95 and kids 11 and under are $12.95.
Yes, you can definitely enjoy lavish brunches at the three Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse locations – and even the more casual Navy Pier and Water Tower Place locations get in on the action. Rosemont and Lombard offer Mother’s Day Champagne Brunches from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., while River North offers some great brunch entrees. At Harry Caray’s Tavern on Navy Pier, enjoy a Gin Radler cocktail for $8, and at Harry Caray’s 7th Inning Stretch you can enjoy breakfast-style specials from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
This German restaurant in Rosemont will offer a special Mother’s Day brunch menu available from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Make a reservation today!
Located inside the Doubletree Hotel in Mundelein, Karma‘s Mother’s Day Brunch features a cold station with salads, shrimp, bagels, and fruit, and a hot station with classic breakfast items, pan-seared barramundi, chicken strips, tater tots, and rice and vegetables. The carving station features roasted garlic Mojo-marinated flank steak, and roasted cherry pineapple bone-in ham. There will also be an omelet station, pasta station, and dessert station. Cost is $36 for adults, $25 for kids 5 and up.
McCormick & Schmick’s
The chain of seafood restaurants has local spots in Chicago, Rosemont and Oak Brook, and is an elegant place to take your mom or grandma for her special day.
Morton’s The Steakhouse
We’re always fans of Morton’s, which has locations in Naperville, Northbrook, Rosemont, Schaumburg, and Chicago. For Mother’s Day this restaurant is offering its $59 steak and lobster meal, so don’t delay!
At this sushi restaurant downtown, you can take your mom to a “Rollin’ with Naoki” sushi class and lunch on Saturday, 5/12. Learn about selecting and butchering fish, seasoning rice, and traditional Japanese techniques, then dine on your creations – tuna and salmon nigiri, a spicy tuna roll, and inari sushi. Class with lunch is $49 and includes a sparkling wine toast; add sake or beer for $20 per person.
Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille
The Oak Brook-based steakhouse features an all-day menu plus special Mother’s Day cocktails such as Bloody Marys, mimosas, or the brandy milk punch for just $4.85 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. A three-course pork chop Sunday Supper is available for $34.95 from 4-9 p.m. It consists of a salad, Perry’s Famous Pork Chop, and a dessert trio (creme brulee, chocolate crunch and praline cheesecake.)
At the Glenview location in the Glen shopping center, the party includes a drink and a chance for two people to create two paintings that fit together – mother and kid turtles. No art experience needed, but you’ll need to reserve ASAP to get your spots.

Sam & Harry’s
Mother’s Day Brunch at this elegant Schaumburg eatery in the Renaissance hotel includes breakfast offerings such as vanilla sugared waffles, artisan meats and cheeses, breads of all kinds, lox and bagels, salads and fruits, and miniature desserts. Specialty items include an omelet station, smoked salmon eggs benedict, bananas foster bread pudding, a carving station with prime rib and porchetta, pacific swordfish, and an iced shrimp cocktail. A complimentary mimosa and live music are included. Cost is $45 for adults, $20 for ages 6-11.
Mother’s Day brunch at locations in Oak Brook and Schaumburg is available from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., and dinner is available all day. Enjoy brunch sips, handcrafted cocktails, and Seasons 52’s own brand of delicious, fresh fare.
Weber Grill Restaurant
Mother’s Day specials take place all day at the locations in Chicago, Schaumburg, and Lombard in addition to the regular menu, but a Mother’s Day Brunch also takes place until 2 p.m. Enjoy chocolate cherry pretzel bread French toast ($10.50), grilled skirt steak and eggs ($17.50), crab cake benedict ($15.50), brisket benedict ($16), or a kid’s brunch plate for 12 and under ($6.50). Entree features include spring greens and strawberry salad ($7), grilled Scottish salmon ($30), herb-crusted lamb chops ($34), and filet and crab cake Oscar ($38). Key lime cheesecake is $6.50.
